All 29 HART Hubs Now Open Across Ontario

Our Ontario PC team is delivering on our commitment to support treatment and lasting recovery from addiction while keeping families and communities safe.

With the new Kingston HART Hub now open, all 29 Homelessness and Addiction Recovery Treatment (HART) Hubs are operating across the province, replacing provincially funded drug injection sites with treatment, recovery and other supports.

Backed by an investment of more than $560 million, HART Hubs have already supported more than 46,000 clients, connecting vulnerable people with mental health and addictions treatment, primary care, supportive housing and other services they need to rebuild their lives.

The Kingston HART Hub replaces the last provincially funded drug injection site in Ontario and will connect people with integrated health, social and housing supports, including addictions treatment and recovery services, mental health care, primary care and supportive housing.

Our Ontario PC team believes the focus should be on treatment and recovery, not continued public funding for drug injection sites.

That’s why we took action to prohibit drug injection sites from operating within 200 metres of schools and child-care centres and invested in a provincewide network of HART Hubs focused on treatment, recovery and safer communities.

With all 29 HART Hubs now open, we’re helping more people break the cycle of addiction, rebuild their lives and get the support they need, while protecting families and communities from the impacts of illegal drug use.
